Organized by the The Latvian Society for Chess Composition, in co-operation with the Riga Chess Federation, the 13^th ECSC took place in the Radisson Blu Daugava hotel, on the bank of the Daugava river. The main competition proved again the dominance of Polish solvers, whose team was accompanied by those of Serbia and Russia. Winners of individual medals were the same as in the WCSC 2016, but this time Piotr Murdzia and Kacper Piorun from Poland exchanged places, ahead of Marjan Kovačević from Serbia. Placement of juniors U23 announced the future might belong to new Russian talents: Danila Pavlov, Aleksey Popov and Svetlana Tishova. The 12th European Chess Solving Championship was held in Glyfada, a cosmopolitan suburb of Athens, in the extended weekend of 15-17 April, supported by wonderful, summer-like weather. The event was organised by the Chess Composition Committee of the Greek Chess Federation. The Open Tournament was conducted by Ioannis Garoufalidis and the ECSC by Ivan Denkovski. The Greek Chess Composition Committee, in co-operation with the Greek Chess Federation, has the honor of inviting the European national teams and individual solvers to participate in the 12th European Chess Solving Championship. The event will be held from Friday, April 15^th (arrival) to Sunday, April 17^th, 2016 (departure) at the “Oasis Hotel Apartments” in Glyfada, a cosmopolitan suburb of Athens.
Director of the open solving tournament will be Ioannis Garoufalidis (GRE) assisted by Harry Fougiaxis. Director of the ECSC will be Ivan Denkovski (MKD) assisted by Ioannis Garoufalidis and Harry Fougiaxis.

The 11th European Chess Solving Championship was organized by the Iasi County Chess Association and the Romanian Chess Federation in the weekend of 2-3 May. The Open Tournament was conducted by Dinu-Ioan Nicula and the ECSC by Ryszard Królikowski. The full results, the problems and their solutions are available here.
The selected compositions was of a well-balanced difficulty with the studies and moremovers in the ECSC creating most of the headaches to the solvers.
The events were conducted flawlessly and WFCC is grateful to the Romanian organizing team for hosting the championship in the booming Iasi and for providing a nice hotel and a very convenient solving hall.

Iasi County Chess Association, Romanian Chess Federation and World Federation of Chess Composition have the honour of inviting all chess problems solvers and chess composition friends, to participate in the 11th European Chess Solving Championship organized in Iasi, Romania, from 01 May (Arrival) to 04 May (Departure) 2015.

The 10th ECSC took place at Igalo, Montenegro in 16.-18.05.2014.

All the solving events were organised, controlled and judged by the tireless Ryszard Królikowski. His efforts have been titanic and WFCC is really thankful. It is sad that Paul Valois, who had volunteered to help Ryszard in controlling and marking, passed away unexpectedly a few days before the event.

• ECSC: 15 teams and 63 solvers. The three top teams: Poland, Russia, Serbia. The three top solvers: Piotr Murdzia (Poland), Georgy Evseev (Russia), Marko Filipović (Croatia).
• Open Solving tournament: 60 participants. The three top solvers: Jonathan Mestel (Great Britain), Piotr Murdzia (Poland), Piotr Górski (Poland).
• Quick Solving: 35 participants. The three top solvers: Jonathan Mestel (Great Britain), Vasyl Dyachuk (Ukraine), Jorma Paavilainen (Finland).

The Corporation for Sportive Tourism in Montenegro and the Montenegro Chess Federation have the pleasure to invite all chess solvers and chess composition friends to attend the 10th European Chess Solving Championship in Igalo, Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
