As the Congress gets closer, the WCCC2022 website is getting more and more crowded with new posts. Starting from the latest news, the deadlines for registration and visa documents were extended till 10th October, the money prizes for 11 different competitions were presented, the Schedule was updated, and three composing tourneys were announced: official Internet T. and two unofficial tourneys. Besides, you can find the registered Lectures, and more details about Safari and Blitz tourney, too.

The FINAL results of the 10th FIDE World Cup in Composing 2022 are published and can be found above the Announcement, in RESULTS section.

Solvers’ ratings October 1st 2022

Solvers’ ratings as of October 1st 2022 produced by the Solving Tournament Manager are published on the WFCC Solving Portal.
Only 3 tournaments of the 3rd quarter 2022 are included: 1st Solving Tournament of Martynas Limontas 2022, 30th Czech Chess Solving Championship 2022, 20th Greek Chess Solving Championship 2022.
The ranking of the top ten solvers almost remain the same with the exception of Silvio Baier who now belongs to the non active solvers. The largest three gains have been achieved by Martynas Limontas (LTU / +43.29), ahead of junior solver Kevinas Kuznecovas (LTU / +30.72) and women solver Laura Rogule (LAT / +29.07).

11th WCCT 2021-22 Results

The 11th World Chess Composition Tournament (WCCT) of the WFCC is completed. In total 33 countries participated in the tournament with 550 compositions in eight sections. The tournament was announced in May 2020 and the closing date for the submission of entries was July 1st, 2021. One document with clarifications and one with claims and replies were circulated to the participating countries. In March 2022 WFCC decided to exclude the teams of Russia and Belarus from the tournament in response to the hostilities in Ukraine and the Official Statements of FIDE Executive Council. The closing date for the judgments was extended to August 1st, 2022 and they were all received on time.
The winner of the 11th WCCT is Slovakia, ahead of Ukraine and Germany. All 33 participating countries received points. At the moment you may download the score tables only (overall and of each section). The full booklet with diagrams, solutions and comments will be available by mid of October.

Update (a few hours later!): Thanks to those who pointed out that there are a few mistakes in the overall scores table. In the totals of some countries the formula was not correct. Apologies for the oversight. Please download the correct file again.

10th FIDE World Cup in Composing 2022 – Preliminary results – C

The preliminary results in section C – Moremovers (PDF) are published and can be found above the Announcement, in the Preliminary Results section. Preliminary results are published without names. Names will appear in the final results. Claims of defects and anticipations can be sent to the Director during one month after the publication of the preliminary results (until 30.09.2022).

WCCI 2019-2021: Results

The RESULTS of the 8th World Championship in Composing for Individuals WCCI 2019-2021 are published! The director’s report will come later.

(06.09.2022) Update: The director apologises for the unfortunate mistake that slipped in the threemovers (section B) spreadsheet. While entering the judges’ scores, he accidentally filled in the column of C.G..S Narayanan’s marks with those of Sergey I. Tkachenko. Such oversights may happen, particularly when someone works under harsh conditions. The files of the results and the top-rated threemovers are now updated.
