35th World Chess Solving Championship
Jesi, 20-27 August 2011
INVITATION
The Italian Problem Association (API), in cooperation with the Chess Club
of Jesi and the Chess Organization Scacchi Randagi, has the honor to invite
all delegates of WFCC, national teams, individual chess solvers and composers
and all those interested in problem chess, to attend the 54th World Congress
of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 35th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC).
The congress will be held at the "Hotel Federico II", in Jesi – Italy, from
Saturday August 20th (arrival) to Saturday August 27th (departure) with the
WCSC on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 23rd and 24th.
Hotel Federico II (http://www.hotelfederico2.it)
is a 4-star hotel just outside Jesi (15 km from the Ancona Airport) and has
all the comforts like gym, outdoor and indoor swimming pool and a large garden.
Accommodation
Prices in EUR per person per day (half-board, drinks not included):
- Single Room: 71 EUR
- Double bed / Twin Room: 65 EUR
- Triple Room: 60 EUR
- Children from 4 to 10 have 10% discount
- Children up to 3 years old in their parents room are free.
Prices include tourist tax and VAT, breakfast, dinner, excursion to the Frasassi
Caves (lunch not included), closing banquet, free wi-fi as well as all regular
congress activities and solving/composing tournaments. All payments should be
made to the Hotel.
The participation fee for those not staying in the hotel is 100 EUR and includes
registration, the congress material and participation in the solving and composing
tournaments.
The Hotel staff can also organize excursions (price to be defined with the
Hotel) for small groups to the Castles of Vallesina, the Paper Museum of Fabriano,
the Riviera del Conero, Urbino, Loreto, Recanati and Gubbio.
Transport
Jesi is 15 kilometers from Ancona International Airport "Raffaello Sanzio";
you can also reach Jesi by car, by train or by ferry to Ancona harbor.
Transport from/to the airport will probably be arranged with the Hotel; further
details will be published on the website when the flights summer timetable will
be available.
