INVITATION
The Japanese Chess Problem Society (JCPS) has the honour and pleasure to invite
all delegates of the WFCC, national teams, individual chess solvers and composers
and all those interested in problem chess, to attend the 55th World Congress
of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 36th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC)
in Kobe, Japan.
DATES
From September 15th to September 22th, 2012. (WCSC on Tuesday and Wednesday,
September 18th and 19th)
VENUE
The Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The venue is situated in the center of Port Island, Kobe.
Port Island can be reached from Sannomiya (the central area of Kobe City) by
the monorail Portliner or by taxi, and is directly connected to the Kobe Airport
(domestic) by the Portliner. From the Kansai International Airport, you can
take a Bay Shuttle ferry to the Kobe Airport Terminal (31 minutes) or a Limousine
Bus to Sannomiya (65 minutes).
ACCOMODATIONS
All prices are daily rates per person. Only breakfast included. For lunch and
dinner, there are many restaurants in and around the hotels, and also in Sannomiya.
Participants wishing to extend their stay before and/or after the congress can
do so at the equivalent daily rate. Hotel expenses should be paid to the hotel
you will stay. All hotels accept credit card for payment.

All participants should pay participation fee ¥10,000 at the registration
desk (Special Conference Room A in the venue) in cash (Japanese Yen). This fee
includes registration, the congress material, Thursday excursion to Kyoto, and
participation in the solving and composing tournaments and Friday’s banquet.
We are also planning daily activities for participants’ family, companions
and friends; prices and program will be disclosed later and should be paid at
participants’ discretion.
