INVITATION

The Georgian Chess Federation and Georgian Chess Composition Association have the honor to invite all WFCC delegates, national teams, individual chess solvers, composers and all those interested in problem chess to attend the 56th World Congress of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 37th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC) in Batumi at the Black Seaside of Georgia. Black Sea water temperature at this time will be about 25 °C.

DATES

The 56th World Congress of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 37th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC) will be held from 21 to 28 of September, 2013. (WCSC on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24th and 25th)

VENUE

The event will be held in the very centre of Batumi in 5-star hotel “Intourist”. There is a 15 km from Batumi International airport to the hotel “Intourist”. Distance from Tbilisi (capital of Georgia) to Batumi is 360 km.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

The deadline for the registration is August 1st, 2013.

HOTEL

All participants and guests are invited to stay in the official hotels of 56th World Congress of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 37th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC). Accommodation in below mentioned hotels is compulsory for all participants of the event. Participants who choose to live in another hotel must pay 100 Euro for registration. All reservations should be done via organizers of the event. Rooms will be booked on the principle of FCFS (first come first serve basis).

All prices are daily rates per person. Prices include VAT, breakfast, excursion, closing banquet, free wi-fi as well as all regular congress activities and solving/composing tournaments.
Also Hotel Intourist has free fitness room, Sauna and pool.
Hotel Alik is located near Intourist (3 minutes on foot). It has free sauna and small pool.
Hotel Marina is located near coast, 5-7 minutes by bus from hotel Intourist. It has free sauna and large pool.

TRAVEL AND VISAS

The organizer will provide transport services of all participants from Batumi International Airport (15 km) or Tbilisi international airports (360 km) to Batumi hotels on September 21st as well as the departure transfer on September28th. If any person or delegation arrives one or two days before the competition the same service will be provided.
Travel price from Batumi airport (2 ways) to hotels is 20 Euro. Travel price from Tbilisi airport (2 ways) to Batumi hotels is for each person 70 Euro by comfortable minibuses, or 40 or 50 Euro (depends on class) by train.
The EU, USA, Turkey, Israel, former SU including Russia and almost all European and Asian countries citizens do not need Georgian visas. They will get free of charge stamp in Batumi or Tbilisi airport. The citizens of FYR of Macedonia and some Asian and African countries will get Georgian visa easily in Batumi or Tbilisi Airport. The cost of visa is about 25 Euro. For visa information contact the Secretary General of Georgian Chess Federation.
